Chrysalis, which replaces Hart van Goud which ends on Tuesday, will be the next telenovela to premiere on eExtra this Wednesday.
Chrysalis now starts at 20h00.
The story is set in the lavish world of the expensive Koroglu Hotel which has a secret room. It revolves around the beautiful and innocent Nalan, who works as an architect at the hotel.
Her mother Feride, a conservative and obsessive person, controls Nalan in every way – from what she wears to who she sees.
We soon discover why Feride is so bitter: Nalan was actually her granddaughter. Her mother Sema, a teenager, died giving birth to Nalan. Feride has never forgave the baby for “killing her own daughter”.
Enter Sedat as the heir to this hotel.
He lives in a family mansion where his father Rafet keeps an eye on the family’s finances with the help of Tako, who is a member of household staff that spies on family members to see if anyone is breaking Rafet’s rules.
Rafet wants Sedat marry a nice woman and forget about his unhonorable affair with Cana. She is a married mother of three.
Selen, Sedat’s younger sister, tells her parents about a girl she met, Nalan. They might be a good match.
Sedat takes Nalan to his apartment after they have met for dinner. She finds women’s cosmetics and a secret bedroom in the bathroom. This suggests that he may not be who she thought he was.
